Carpentry Assistant 

 

We are seeking a carpentry offsider/ hammerhand. This position would suit a young enthusiastic worker and comes with the opportunity to lead into an apprenticeship for the right person.

 

The job involves modular building relocations, renovations, alterations and construction .  

 

• You must be prepared and available to work occasional weekends and work away from time to time, which will occasionally include camping conditions.

• Current Manual Drivers Licence is required. 

• A positive can-do attitude, logical thought process and good math skills an advantage.

• Work well unsupervised and as part of a close team. 

• Comfortable with getting dirty and physically fit enough to be up and down trucks as well as underneath and on top of buildings.

• Those with previous experience and tickets/licences in carpentry related fields will be strongly considered.

• Other plant operation certificates an advantage.

• Punctual and reliable.

House transportation is a specialised industry, there are plenty of tickets, licences and courses we are willing to help the right person through if they are keen enough. 

 

We are a family owned and managed business.  We are looking for a new member to join our small, friendly team on a long term basis.

The position will be on a casual basis for a probationary period.  You will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test before commencment, if you are the successful candidate.
